However, only a limited batch of 100 units was delivered to fleet operators, with no rollout for the public market.

Competitive Pricing of the Tata Nano EV

With the recent reductions in battery and electric component costs, Tata Motors has already set a benchmark by pricing its Tiago EV at ₹7.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Given this trend, industry experts suggest that Tata Motors could price the Nano EV at around ₹6 lakh, making it one of the most affordable electric cars in India.

Such pricing would position the Nano EV as a direct competitor to other budget-friendly EVs like the MG Comet EV, providing a more affordable and accessible option for Indian consumers.

Tata Nano EV 2024 Range and Expected Features

Designed with urban driving in mind, the Tata Nano EV is likely to have a range of 200-220 kilometers on a single charge—ideal for short daily commutes. The Nano EV is expected to feature a lightweight design, a compact electric motor, and a battery pack under 20 kWh to keep costs and weight low while optimizing efficiency.
